The Ugandan Government and the Lord's Resistance Army have recently signed a truce aimed at ending the 20 year conflict in the north of Uganda which has killed thousands and displaced more than one million people.

This is obviously encouraging news. In relation to CHIPS work supporting resettlement in the vicinity of the Teso-Karamoja border, it will hopefully be beneficial in giving people more confidence to leave the IDP camps and rebuild their homes and lives.
